SBRHS Diversity club vision

SBRHS Diversity club vision

The Somerset Berkley Regional High School Diversity Club aims to promote equality amongst students and staff. We aim to be a safe space for students by amplifying voices, raising awareness and fighting stereotypes. In a heavily stigmatized world, it is our job as the youth to deconstruct those stereotypes in order to normalize diversity. We also aim to incorporate a more inclusive educational approach. We hope, in the future to cultivate a culture that stops the spread of misinformation and where students advocate for themselves and others in times of injustice when they see something.
District DEI Vision

District DEI Vision

The Somerset Public Schools (SPS) and Somerset Berkley Regional High School (SBRHS) are committed to providing equitable educational opportunities and a safe learning environment for all students.  We strive to create an environment where all students and employees, regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, home-language, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, domicile, or socioeconomic status have access to the opportunities, resources, and support they need to reach their fullest potential.

In order to achieve equity among all students, SPS and SBRHS are committed to removing any barriers that impede equity’s progress.  We are committed to challenging and preparing all students for success in school and life by fostering a responsive, caring, safe, and inclusive culture where all students are valued, respected, and cared for by amplifying their voices, raising awareness, and fighting stereotypes. We will cultivate a culture of belonging and inclusivity that stops the spread of discrimination and where all students and staff advocate for themselves and others when confronted with acts of social injustice.
